My Creative Rut and the Caardvarks Transportation Challenge

The newest Caardvarks challenge is to make a card with a transportation theme. This was a tough one for me since I am in a creative rut. I should be totally inspired with the impending arrival of spring and the holidays it brings--Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduations, showers, birthdays. . .but I'm not! I was able to come up with two cards suitable for the transportation challenge. Card #1 is made of ivory cardstock and a sage green patterned paper. I used textured cardstock to make something that resembles a truck (complete with button wheels) hauling a birthday gift. Card #2 is made of green cardstock and some some stickers I found in the $1 bin at Target. I stamped "happy, happy, happy, happy birthday" in blue ink, and my stamping really needs some work--it's far from perfect! Oh, well. These cards would be nice to celebrate a little boy's birthday.

  2. I especially love the truck you fashioned to haul that gift. Any chance it could swing by my place? ;^) Thanks for joining us!
