So...the last week or so has been crazy to say the least. It is times like this that I feel an overwhelming need to be connected to my fellow quilters and sewists and be a part of something BIG. I had been kicking around the idea of another Inspired Quilt Project, so without further ado let's spread some love!
If you want to join, all you need to do is make a 4.5" (to finish at 4") heart quilt block and mail it to me. I am a pharmacist and will be heading back to work on Monday after being off for a week spending spring break with my family. You will be blessing me by providing me the opportunity to piece your blocks together as I decompress after my days at work. In turn, I will use your blocks to make a quilt (or quilts) for organizations that need quilts. I don't know where the quilts will end up, but I assure you, they will find appropriate, loving homes with those that need a quilty hug. (Project Linus and Quilts 4 Kids are my go-to organizations, so I am sure some will end up there.)
- Use a light gray, white, low-volume, neutral background.
- Add a colorful, happy heart. The heart can be pieced, appliqued, embroidered, improv, etc.
- Mail your block to me! I chose a small block that can easily be mailed in a regular envelope with just one stamp to avoid a trip to the post office.
If you need some inspiration, here are some links to heart quilt block patterns and tutorials. I will add to the list as I find them. For patterns with multiple size options, please make the 4.5" (4" finished) block.

Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions. Happy sewing!
A lovely idea, hope to send you one by the end of the week!
