Alexandria Blog Tour!

Welcome! Today is my turn on the blog tour featuring the Alexandria fabric collection from Lizzie Clark Designs. When planning out my project, I decided to use a pattern I had purchased but never made. (Sewing from my pattern stash, so to speak.) I've had the Crazy Mom Quilts Show & Tell bag pattern sitting around for a few years, and this was the perfect opportunity to make something to tote all my quilts to the Omaha Modern Quilt Guild meetings.

The pattern has instructions for three sizes...medium, large and jumbo. I made the large bag, and it is plenty big enough for bringing my projects to show and tell! I have my Trish & Birdie and Windsor Garden quilts in there (made from fabric lines from other Sweet Bee Designs fabric designers), and there is definitely room for a few more quilts.

I used a beautiful mustard yellow Moda Bella solid for the lining and handles and quilted the patchwork panels on my longarm. I see a few more of these bags in my future!

Amanda Jean (crazy mom quilts) has retired from the quilting business, but this pattern is still available as a download here at Connecting Threads.

Be sure to stop by the other blogs and check out the wonderful handmade items using Lizzie's beautiful fabric line!
