For 365 Cards Day 126 - Show Your True Colors, I made this red, white and blue card:
It took me much longer than it should have, but sometimes I have a hard time making a nice, simple card! It's just textured navy cardstock and white linen cardstock that I embossed the bottom with the Cuttlebug swiss dots folder. The sentiment is computer generated, and the ribbon is a 10 cent bargain I bought at Michael's last year after the 4th of July.I also made a card for my niece's birthday that combined 365 Cards Day 124 - Do-it-Yourself: Computer Generated and Use It! challenge no. 17.
For the Use It! challenge:
1. Use your newest papers. (DCWV Animal Crackers)
2. There has to be a name on the card. (I made a computer-generated sentiment with my niece's name.)
3. Use at least one button. (I didn't even realize this was part of the challenge until I sat down to type my post. Fortunately, I used a button!)
4. Use your sewing machine, if you have, or try to stitch, a tiny piece, by hand. (I love my sewing machine, and I do a lot of sewing on my cards.)
Thanks for looking!
Both are fabulous! I love your patriotic card--I'm a sucker for Swiss Dots on white.
