love you

I've been reading a book I checked out from the library this week--Other People's Love Letters: 150 Letters You Were Never Meant to See. It's a collection of random love letters written by random people, but it has made me realize that I don't tell my husband enough that I love him. I make cards, and the poor guy didn't even get a Valentine's Day card this year. So I'm going to give him this card for no reason.

I made the heart by Mod Podging pieces of crumpled paper onto a cardboard heart I cut out. I inked it with three different colors of Tim Holtz distress ink until I got the color I wanted. (I had to spray it with sealer because the ink didn't dry so well over the Mod Podge.) I really like the way the heart turned out.

I used Kazan's Sketch 47 at 2 Sketches 4 You:

Thanks for looking!
